In an odd reversal of a celebrity defending her body type, Candice Swanepoel has gone on record as saying she does not have to gain any weight.
The Victoria's Secret model is at the center of controversy this week because she looked downright emaciated during a photo op in Las Vegas, but she tells People Magazine:
'I am healthy and happy. I'm heartened to know how much everyone cares about me, but in this case, everything is normal and good.'

Gwen Stefani donated $1,000,000 today to Save the Children’s Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund to help in the relief and recovery effort in Japan.
“I’ve been inspired by Japan for many years and have a true love, appreciation and respect for the Japanese people and their culture. The disaster in Japan is beyond heartbreaking and I want to do anything I can to help. I would never be able to make a gesture like this without the love and support of all the fans over all these years.”

* Unplug appliances when they are not in use

* Purchase clothes that are ethically made, not mass produced

* Have timed showers to use less water
* Water the plants of an evening

Charlie Sheen is reportedly not welcome at a number of top New York hotels.
The former ‘Two and a Half Men’ actor is said to be looking to book a private apartment when he performs his ‘Violent Torpedo of Truth’ stage show next month as facilities including the Waldorf-Astoria and the Trump Soho in the city don’t want him there following an incident last year, when a panicked porn star Charlie was partying with called hotel security when he started smashing up a room at the New York Plaza hotel.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Many of the big New York hotels don’t want the drama. He is now looking at renting a private residence.”
Representatives for all hotels declined to comment.
The star is due to appear in the city for his ‘Violent Torpedo of Truth’ tour on April 8, and a source close to him insists his accommodation problems are more down to his personal requirements than finding somewhere he is welcome.
Another source explained: “The real issue is finding him a hotel that allows smoking. He has to be able to smoke.
“And it’s hard to find a place that will accommodate him, plus his entourage that will be more than 30, including the lighting people and of course the goddesses.”
Meanwhile, the 45-year-old actor has been given a court date where he will be able to argue his $100 million lawsuit against Warner Brothers television and ‘Two and a Half Men’ creator Chuck Lorre should be heard in open court.
The actor filed the suit claiming he had been unfairly being sacked from the show, and also on behalf of the crew for not being paid to the unmade last eight episodes in the final series.
Warner Brothers and Chuck have argued that Charlie’s contract calls for a private arbitration panel to settle the dispute, but a Los Angeles judge has now set a date of April 19, when both sides will make their case in court.
Madonna is being sued after she decided to “discontinue” plans to build a school for girls in Malawi.
The ‘Celebration’ hitmaker is the subject of legal action by eight workers – who were fired when the singer replaced the board of directors with a caretaker panel – who are seeking compensation for unpaid wages after she terminated plans to build an academy in the African country through her Raising Malawi foundation.
Lawyer Mzondi Chirambo said: “Their employment was terminated by the trustees of Raising Malawi Academy for Girls ostensibly following the change of plan not to build the school as planned.
“My clients are also being forced to sign a discriminatory termination agreement before they are paid their benefits.
“We are claiming unpaid salary and benefits. The workers live here. The court will decide. It’s not our policy to comment further.”
Mr. Chirambo added that one of his clients is Dr. Anjimile Oponyo, the school’s recently sacked CEO and says the singer – who pledged to build the school when she adopted son David, now five, from the country in 2006 – has 14 days to respond to the lawsuit.
Meanwhile, Michael Berg – who co-founded the charity Rasing Malawi with the pop star – and the Kabbalah Center International in Los Angeles, were named in an unrelated recent lawsuit alleging mismanagement of funds intended for children’s education in Los Angeles.
A wealthy California woman sued Mr. Berg, his family and the center last month claiming she made a $498,000 donation to create an organization for children to learn about Kabbalah which never materialized, the New York Daily News reports.
While in New York, a federal grand jury is reportedly investigating finances connecting the Berg family, the Kabbalah Center and Raising Malawi .
As well as David, Madonna also adopted now six-year-old Mercy from Malawi in 2009, joining her other children Lourdes, 14, and Rocco, 10.
Beyonce Knowles has dropped her father Mathew as her manager.
The ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)’ hitmaker – who has been guided by him since she first began her career in girl band Destiny’s Child in the late 1990s – is “grateful” for her dad’s backing but now wants to separate their personal and professional relationship.
She said in a statement: “I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother manage me and own their own businesses. They are hard working entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps.

Mathew claimed the decision for him to stop managing Beyonce was “mutual”.

“I do think I’m a bit of a masochist,” she says this evening. “It’s not something I’m proud of, and it’s not something I noticed until recently. I think it’s common for people who witness abuse in their household. They can never smell how beautiful a rose is unless they get pricked by a thorn.”
She thinks it explains her attraction to tattoos (14 and counting, including a skull with a pink hair bow on her left Achilles, a pistol on her right rib cage and the words Never a Failure, Always a Lesson on her collarbone), as well as her “love-hate relationship” with the media, and the fact that the darkest moments of her life are out there for public consumption. “When I think about it, I really do take some pleasure in the negativity,” she says. “I don’t want to say turned on by it – but I’m turned on by it.”
